Looks like Will Smith has another 4th of July blockbuster all lined up. This looks like an interesting concept. A surly alcoholic superhero who the whole city hates but for some reason, still tries to save the day. Never quite seems to get it right...
All I can say is... WOW!
Based on the Mark Millar graphic novel, Wanted follows a young man (James McAvoy) who finds out his long lost father is an assassin. And when his father is murdered, the son is recruited into his father’s old organization and trained by a man named Sloan (Morgan Freeman) to follow in his dad’s footsteps. Angelina Jolie, Terence Stamp and Common also star.
The trailer can also be viewed in High Definition on Yahoo! Movies. Wanted hits theaters on March 28th 2008.

*Update:*
In a letter written by Abrams himself to Ain’t It Cool News, the Lost producer sets a few things straight:
“Yeah, we’re doing some fun stuff on the web. But, obviously, if the movie doesn’t kick some massive ASS, who gives a rat’s about what’s online? So as you can imagine, we’re focusing mostly on THAT. For what it’s worth, the only site of ours that people have even FOUND is the 1-18-08.com site. The others (like the Ethan Haas sites) have nothing to do with us.”
I honestly don’t know what to believe anymore. Clearly Abrams is teasing us here by insinuating there are more sites out there to be found (we’ve gotten word that slusho.jp is one of these sites, but I can’t figure out what it has to do with 1-18-08, other than lend more support to the Godzilla rumors). And if those Ethan Haas sites aren’t connected to Cloverfield, then what the hell are they?
Shoot 'Em Up stars Clive Owen (loved him in Children of Men), Paul Giamatti (loved him in Private Parts), and Monica Bellucci (love her entire body... of work). Opens Sept 7th, 2008
Ok, everyone has seen Transformers by now and its safe to say, it kicked ass. Total popcorn munchin' sweetness.
But... what about that Cloverfield trailer? JJ Abrams top-secret movie has the internet crawling and searching for answers. The secrecy reminds me of when Matrix first came out and I've totally fallen for the hype. I really want to know more about this movie so if anyone finds out anything, let me know. The website tells you absolutely nothing for now but hopefully in the next few months the internet hordes will find out more. The only bit of intriguing info I was able to find out was that the whole movie is in the same style of the trailer. Handheld video cameras ala Blair Witch Project. Could be interesting. Comes out Jan 18, 2008
*update - Suite101.com has some cool info. Read about it.
